The Story

Used in the American Southwest and in Mexico to measure brown sugar.  Know as pilloncillo.  It was packed into the molds to form a cone shape, then wrapped in paper and sold in the general stores or market places.  Pieces of the cone were then chipped away as need for cooking . This was because many small shops and stalls did not have scales to weight product.  The dark color comes from the molasses that was contained in the sugar.

Four easy steps to creating your own candle centerpiece

1. Select your container - Use your imagination. Plates, planters, bowls, vases, or hollowed out fruits or vegetables. Be creative!

2. Pour your wax beads - Single colors, blended colors or any combination of colors; pour directly into your chosen container making sure you are filling to at least 2" deep

3. Place your wick(s) - We suggest you place the wick(s) approximately 2" from other wicks or the sides of your container. Be sure to trim the wick from the bottom (opposite the red mark) so that the red line on the wick is at the surface of the wax pastilles.

4. Light and enjoy!
