The ASL Pewter shown above is all hand made by Thomas & Patricia Hooper in Historic Clarksburg, Missouri on the banks of the great Mississippi river. Much of the pewter is made using American Colonial antique molds which date from 1650 - 1720 to 1830. The antique molds are made from iron, bronze, brass, aluminum, stone and wood. Each antique mold has its own character from the hundreds of years of use. These character marks will appear in the pieces and are not flaws but signs of real hand made castings with a real history. Each piece is hand polished. This is the best quality, hand made 100% lead free, all food safe American Pewter. ASL makes pieces for museums and Colonial Williamsburg.
