Hand Made In New England: A Bowl Is Not Always A Bowl
We know where the wood originates makes a difference. No cut and run, clear cutting for this bowl. Our wood originates from recycled sources urban forest scrap, wood retrieved from land fills or scrap from Production furniture. The source for the wood allows the bowls to have distinctive styles
A favorite wood of choice for our Bowls is Cherry. Bold, tight, Variegated Grain, Rich color continues to bloom with use.
With an eye to the future, we support not- for- profit organizations that sustain crafts people and environmental organizations supporting well managed forests. No Chemicals Here Thank You
Each Bowl is Hand sanded and finished in Bees wax and mineral oil finish, hand rubbed until the bowls unique grain is presented. The finish is as carefully applied as the care you took in choosing the bowl. We never use heavy staining or faux techniques on lesser quality woods.
Maintaining your Hardwood Bowl
A simple hand wash in warm water and towel dry will maintain your bowl for years to come. Do not soak your bowl, leave in standing water or place in a dishwasher.
We recommend our Bowl Rub finish, the same finish that helped you choose the unique graining at the time of purchase. Hand rub your bowl inside and out with bowl rub and a soft cloth after each use as a minimum. A Heated Home in the winter will require a more regular application of bowl rub.
About Our Backstamp
Often mistaken at first glance for a bicycle rider, our back stamp is two cherries. The cherries represent our commitment to quality, and unique bowl design. Many bowls sold are birch or beech stained glazed or rubbed with a formula guaranteed to not be food safe. White doughy lifeless cooking store objects that become throwaways is not.
Cherry is at least 4 times more expensive than lesser quality wood. Cherry wood produces a bowl for generations to enjoy. Much better than those white doughy lifeless cooking store objects or junk sold on the TV.
We proudly label every bowl with our quality back stamp. The outline of the state of New Hampshire as part of our Name and back stamp is a constant reminder we are the last wooden bowl company in New England.

Never let water stand in a wood bowl for a long period of time and never clean wood bowls or any wood product in the dishwasher. Please clean all of your wooden ware using water and a small amount of mild soap and hand dry.
Use Kimball’s wooden salad bowl oil rub to rejuvenate all of your woodenware, wood utensils and your wood salad bowl when dry
